    Good recipe but why vanilla extract? You’re already using vanilla bean shouldn’t you just use more vanilla Bean? I mean vanilla extract can’t be as delicious as real vanilla bean.

    Nice quick video, I am going to probably do a ramen version of this. Be cautious, folks, in using flour to purge, as fresh water will kill clams fairly easily. Salt water is better, though I don't know if flour would be used the same way. I do know they will purge in saltwater.

      I should add that a fairly short time should be fine, especially if you're cooking shortly thereafter. I probably wouldn't push it past 30-60 minutes but watertemperature and how fresh the clams are definitely factor in. Thank you, did you post a recipe? I'll search for it.

      Thank you so much. Yes, you can substitute equal part of agar. Just make sure to heat mixture to a boil to activate the setting power. And note that the texture might be slightly different than using gelatin. Happy cooking! 🧡🥭

    Hi Amy. I tried using this recipe but only one side is covered with batter and the other side not despite turning like how it's supposed to be. Is it because the batter too thick? Or it get cooked too fast on one side? Also is it ok to skip evaporated milk?

      Thank you so much for your feedback. The amount of batter used should be able to cover both sides of the pan. But keep in mind, if the pan you used is different than mine, that could be why it wasn't enough batter to cover. Also, after adding batter, I immediately close the pan and flip it upside down to let the batter cover the other side of the pan before it's all cooked. Regarding the evaporated milk, it's what give these waffle bubbles the unique flavor. So, I don't recommend skipping it, unless you have dietary allergies, etc. Hope this helps.

      Honestly, I am not sure because I haven't try that yet. As long as the fruit you use doesn't have the substance to prevent the gelatin from setting (such as fresh pineapple), I think it's okay to use.
